A few words about trash talking on Ferry of the Damned...

  • It really makes you look stupid.

  • I usually play music with the people we send there and send us there. Sometimes they partake, sometimes they don't. If they talk trash, I start playing the sad song. Because it is sad how stupid they decide to act when they do so.

  • @trickrtreat01 lol agreed. Its usually people I sink and they are like HA GOT YOU and I'm like sure I'm dead too but your ship is gone... so... lol.

One guy told me I blow D*** haha was hilarious. I actually welcome this cause lets me know I got to them. I'm inside their head mwhahaa. One guy kept calling me a p***y for using a pistol yet he was double teaming my solo sloop and his friend was blunderbussing all over haha.

Anyway can't expect these ppl to be reasonable, just enjoy their insecurities.

lol, Or I tell them how it was their teammate that TKED them and not I so we can have a mutiny to deal with as well.

  • I've only encountered a couple of trash talkers. Most people are completely silent because they're on xbox and in a private party. But if you kill them enough times they get much quieter

  • @trickrtreat01 Not nearly as stupid as brainlessly following an empty sloop you just saw leave an outpost and logically would have nothing to gank, preventing them from actually getting something to gank, being inept at it, until finally said sloop capt just pulls over and dances while you sink him because you've bored him into submission with your mindless pvp/ineptitude.

Did I chase you at lunch?

  • I usually get a kick from the trash talkers. Some of the stuff they say is comical. Its a game so I take no offense. nbd.

  • @puppetbreath Nah :)

  • Generally I just ignore them and play some music or look at my compass and walk around. It's goofy and generally gets them to be quiet.

  • I just stand at the door and point.

...unless they set themselves up for a wicked burn.

  • @mrgrim67686

Ha! I did that a couple times. When I was done with voyages I sometimes ended up spending like half an hour or so on the Ferry just greeting pirates.

I'd point at the door, stand at the top of the stairs with my spooky Souls lantern, play a mournful tune, or just wail hauntingly.

Haven't run into any trash talkers myself, luckily. Most seem happy to play a song with me while we wait for the door to implode.

  • @trickrtreat01 Heh, this made me laugh. I've had a few encounters with other crews on the FotD and they were... difficult. They shouldn't really discourage you, for behind all that pirateness and character, is a raging 12 year old kid.

  • @seldros It doesn't discourage me at all. Most of the time the guy talking trash is someone I killed.

  • I'm down for music playing and making friends with people I had a good time fighting.
The trash talk just makes me keep an eye out for their ship so I can send them back again.
