Happend to us several times now. People are driving out of map and sinking their ships and we cant get any loot from them. Needs to be fixed

No, never just throw it over board, run off the map. If I don't get to keep it, no one else will either lol

I have done this numerous times to people who chase me for ages.
Go past an outpost, jump overboard with most valuable item & cash it in, mermaid back to ship & rinse, repeat.
Once you have cashed in enough, set you ship on a course to go off the map & sit at the outpost watching your unmanned empty ship & the clueless chaser disappear off into the distance!!@jedi-firefly well if its just a seafarers chest, sometimes they'll drop anchor to retrieve. It's helped me out once or twice.
@hipsu555 As the old adage "it's not yours until you cash it in" (maybe that one's not so old!). If the loot is on their ship and they choose to deny it rather than let it fall in to your hands, that's the choice they make I'm afraid.
Just have to figure out how to catch the slimy suckers quicker I guess! ;)

If this is intented thats a really bad game design. Its more an exploit than anything else. Its a pirate game, part of it is chasing someone down.
@hipsu555 When im tierd of being followed i do my best to dump the loot when behind concealment. If not, i sail off the map. Not gonna let pirates get it when im in no mood to fight. I think its fair.

Working as intented. If they want a sailing simulator they wouldnt add cannons to the game.
One thing I did the other day when I knew I was doomed, which is basically any time a ship comes towards me, I always keep only one piece of treasure on my ship and a pocket full of bananas. I grab my treasure and jump into the sea and go as deep as I can. Like to the vary bottom (if it's reachable). When I run out of air and my health starts taking a hit, I start eating bananas (yes you can eat them underwater). Once I have finished all my bananas I am usually so deep it's dark. I then die with my treasure many many fathoms deep. Not sure what happens to the treasure when I die. Does it float to the surface? If not, yay, the cowardly PvPer doesn't get my treasure. If it does float I wonder how long it takes to rise. Long enough for the PvPer to chase other some other easy target? xD
I have also gone off the edge of the map, which usually causes the PvPer to cry like a big girl xD
Then again, I guess I am a big girl too for running in the first place. xD Oh well, got to make it as hard for them as possible. Make them earn their booty.
