We all have seen the promotional photo but there is no blunderbuss or the Reach in it (nor a pocketwatch, bucket, spyglass etc).
Are we getting the entire set or only what's on the photo? I pre-ordered thinking I'll get the whole set and if we don't I can't help but feel cheated by Rare/Microsoft.
@ser-pineapples The driver comes with the midnight blunderbuss. (its just the black dog skin for it being shoved into the drive as its own dlc idk why) The pistol i can't confirm being fully gone since theres a stream today and rare could always shove it out there for people as a last second chance today.

You're right. It's mostly my fault for my expectations were too high.
The reason I feel cheated is I've pre-ordered early on when blunderbuss, Eye of the Reach and equipment skin loadout was not yet a thing, so at the time it was an entire set. And as these things slowly came out, I figured Rare didn't want to spoil the surprise of these new items and hence didn't update the picture. As time went on, I slowly pulled the wool off my eyes and suspect it wasn't going to be an entire set

Seems a little silly though to separate bits and pieces from a set though. From a business sense it makes perfect sense.
In all honesty I reckon the outfits in game will probably be loads better then the Black Dog Pack anyway. Hardly anyone will be wearing those after the first week.
hard to call something a set when you dont get all the pieces.

Which you are most likely going to replace or not even use because everyone and their dog will have the same outfit?

What are free stuff are you talking about? The Black Dog pack is not free because you need to pre-order which is not free

@ser-pineapples You are pre-ordering(paying for the game) and getting(which implies free) the black dog pack. The game is what you are paying for not the black dog pack, which makes it free or an extra.

Black dog pack is everything black dog. From the tools to the clothing. Ebon flintlock and midnight blunder aren't black dog are they? They're similar themed, but if they were part of the set they'd be black dog.
they are literally the exact same art theme up to and including the green gemstones.

they are literally the exact same art theme up to and including the green gemstones.
they did the fable 3 thing of tearing apart a set of things and scattering them across various optional items themed around the game instead of just getting the full set. with fable it was the garth, hammer, reaver sets were all scattered among different retailers so you would have had to buy at least 3 copies of the game to get all of those. then they had the balverine sword that came with a code included in the balverine order book (which was a great read btw). difference between fable and sea of thieves is that at least the fable ones were different sets and not one set that they tore apart and put different pieces in with the additional items. granted it wont be THAT big of a deal in the end as most of us will replace them over time. that aside it does suck that you probably wont be able to ever get the full set of black gear unless you logged into the livestream, bought the hdd, preordered etc. if each set came with a different outfit set like the controller and the 3 month card do then it would be ok, but splitting apart a set just seems weird. guess they know people like the color black and will probably pay for it. all of these first world problems aside im still super excited for the game.
I agree %100 man, I noticed that there was three items missing from the black dog pack pre-order and after seeing that they randomly gave the flintlock to randoms on a stream that only insiders where notified about, I also feel cheated out of items that should have been in the pe-order.. for my first xbone game Ive ever played I'm not impressed by the execution of it so far, The game is great don't get me wrong but the business model is.. lets just say.. off point.

Hands down, the pre order bonusses for this game are pretty much the worst I’ve ever seen. I mean, c’mon, half a set of cosmetics and if you wanted the other half you’d have to buy some some s****y hardware parts you don’t even need, especially since these things would only be useful for an Xbox player, equality please? The worst part about it is that this is literally end game content being locked behind a pay wall before the game has even been released. Just imagine Bungie had given players a Gallahorn or a Vex Mythoclast prior release for buying I don’t know, a $100 2TB HDD with a Destiny logo on it. That’d be ridiculous! I know that these two weapons make you stronger yada yada, however in the end it’s endgame content, and that’s a fact. To sum this up I gotta say that I’m legitimately disappointed in how Rare has been handling the distribution of cosmetics.
@sucker-mc If they had have said - "We'll be giving away in-game content that should have been in the black dog pack, you can pick yours up via watching our wanna-be twitch stream" I'm sure people would have taken more note!

Please explain...thats whats in the photo and description...just because these items come in a set doesnt mean they gotta give you the whole set, had you not played the game and seen that these items all come in a set you wouldn't be complaining, but because you saw that they come in a set now your upset...thats a joke...dam people just literally find anything to wine about like little kids these days...Im sure the rest of the set gonna be in game...gonna be so hard to earn it tho :( how can they do this to us (sarcasm)
