@metalman981 I personally didn't see anything more, or less, that made me, more or less, of a skeptic. I am still holding out pure judgement of this game until its fully released. I feel like it could be something great, if Rare listens. But its yet to be proven, to me at least, if they will be able to deliver a rich and rewarding experience. Right now the rewards are pointless, and even exploring isn't truly valuable except in the forms of gold, which makes the game feel more grindy than it should.
So far, I feel like I've been playing a $15 game off of Steam. It's fun in very small sessions, but I feel no attachment to the items I earn or the ship I use. My character is simply a thing in a somewhat static world where very few things are intractable. After a few hours of grinding you become numb to the motions you are making during each voyage, and you quickly realize you're not enjoying yourself at all.
But the game has a lot more to offer at release, and its still possible for it to capture the real essence of being a pirate. Time will tell.
