Message to RARE - P.S. Your support line doesn't work.

  • This will likely sit in the void of Sea of Thieves.

    I bought the game in 2023. I had wanted to play the game for a year prior, so I bought it on sale using Steam.

    I played the tutorial, joined online and got spawn killed on my own boat by 2 geezers for 10 minutes straight- and uninstalled.

    I thought to myself. That was terrible, I will wait for one of my friends to get the game. Maybe that will make it more fun.

    I download the game again after nearly 3 years, with a friend. Boot it up, go to join an online session to receive a message; I have been perma banned (rumblebeard), hilarious.

    Bear in mind that my account has logged 119 minutes and I have no interest in cheating on the game (or any game). And I've made sure my Microsoft account has not been compromised by another source.

    So today I've gone to submit a ticket through this website-- even the ticket submission page doesn't work. It keeps asking me to login to my Microsoft account, even after I have done so.

    And I know that the login process for the ticket submission isn't broken just for me, as 5 days ago I've already found a thread where a few people are having the same issues. Rare? Are you good mate?

    Is this the worst string of luck on any game I've ever played? Yes. Is this going to get solved? Probably not.

    After this experience, I imagine that Rare wouldn't read any support message I ever send them... Even if I could.

    Honestly to break it down, RARE, this is what you've given me;

    Opened and closed the game in 2023 for 60 minutes.
    Downloaded the game in 2026,
    Instantly perma banned on opening the multiplayer.
    Unable to submit a support ticket the next day.

    You know I can look past a lot of things in life. But development benign arrogance doesn't work with me. If I've paid for a digital product and used it twice since 2023, for it to have banned and denied me access on support, is comical.

    Fix up Rare, I am sure you have a talented team. But from my perspective- I'm not seeing it one bit.

  • We are aware of an issue currently affecting some of players which is preventing them from being able to submit support tickets to the Player Support Team.

    After clicking "Raise A Support Ticket", if you are repeatedly receiving the "Hold on there, Pirate!" message, please do not worry.

    We have a fix in the pipeline and hope to have this issue resolved soon.
