    we all know the alliance option to share treasure.
    but it mostly used by gold hoarders,merchants and soul company.

    athena and reapers are the most used flags for people that rather hunt/pirate people and are the ones usally shoothing on sight.

    what if there was a tribute system for reapers and athena flags. that work like a one way street instead of a two way street that the alliance flag is.
    so when the tributers cash in at the outpost or etc.
    a share goes to the demanding party.

    it will be benifical to all party's

    1. reapers and co will be more active in talking/treathing to demand tribute's from other crews.

    2. they will earn more if they have multiply paying ships on there list.

    3.there is for players that suck or dont like pvp an other option then fighting. it will cost them a %.
    but most are willing to pay.

    4.less people get sunk and happiness overall increase among players.

    5.more players keep playing the game
    so more people to sink or treathen.
    and rare makes more money.

    @a-thieve-of-sea why would I let you pay tribute? I can just take everything for 100%. It's not like tribute payers are going to stay on the server after cash out.

    because the moment they cash in you get your cut.

    just like in the alliance deal that is both ways

    this deal will be one way.

    @a-thieve-of-sea also, what keeps this party from lowering the tribute flag before cashing out?

    I see it happen in alliances alot where one ship just joined to get safe passage and then lowered before turn in.

    that is something the developers can build in that the flag cant be taking away by the paying party.

    but if you have multpile ships giving you a cut.
    meanwhile you can do your own thing

    you make more in the end.

    Also gold is pointless.

    to some players its the reason to play.

    we all play for diffrent reasons

    you play the game moslty for pvp, but there are no stats of defeated opponets so thats pointless to me.

    again if they sell there loot you automatacily get your cut.

    didnt you ever had an alliance flag?!?

    they cant bring loot away without paying their tribute.

    @a-thieve-of-sea I've used the alliance flag for finishing some commendations. But I play to hang out with friends and have shenanigans. But for a tribute system to work and really work the crew paying a tribute should lose some of their cash out. they don't deserve 100%.

    exactly what im trying to say.

    if a party that decided to pay tribute.
    when they cash in a predetemined % may be 60/40 or 40/60

    off course they dont get the full 100%

    @a-thieve-of-sea but then as the victorious boat, why would i let you keep anything? a boat won't stay on server if they are only getting partial loot. I would be better just taking everything.

    like i stated before

    there are plenty of players that want to pay the tribute if the can do there quest in peace.
    they care about the storie and the sailing.
    not about the gold just like you.

    other people would reason the balance of going to an other server and loosing time to meet maybe a worse reaper than you.

    dont forget the time to gather supplies you may have.

    people while reason to stay and be in peace than starting over somewhere else.

    people that dont wanna pay still try to fight you there will also be engough of them.

    and dont forget the more casual players stay playing the game the better it will get.
    and ships that you sink now jump server to.
    or play never again.

    @a-thieve-of-sea this still seems like a bad idea and a method of players that are not as good at the game of keeping some progress.

    Still no real incentive to let you pay tribute vs taking it all.

    and like i stated before you will earn more if multiple ships give you a cut.
    and you can still do your own thing.

    thanks for stating your opinion.
    but i hope to discuss this more with more people.

    and than come to a conclussion together.

    Here is an even easier idea.

    Just them a portion of your loot on a promise they will leave you alone.
    Give them something not as valuable as your most valuable item and just hope they go for it.

    This is something thats for players to talk about in game and try. Its a strategy. Anything further isnt really necessary.

    However speaking from experience here...
    If i suspect i could take all your loot i would especially if ive nothing to lose.

    @a-thieve-of-sea let's take the gold aside and talk about the rep and commendations...it doesn't do anything to reaper bones lvl when someone sells stuff to, for example, goldhoarders...or I won't get any commendations when my crew doesn't sell it on his own...
    This system does nothing to RB, as I can't finish my commendations...I just get gold, which I don't need

    that is a good arguement.

    but not something that can't be changed.

    why wouldnt the system can be written so that when a tribute is payed you also level up on reaper or etc.

    things like this should be discussed so all the aspects can be reschearched and addapted if needed.

    but players that already have all comediations can find it intresting. because they want to be top leader in goldhoarding or something like that.

    but dont only reason on the way you play the game.
    its a open sandbox and the developpers give us the tools to use or not.
