"HELP!" voice command

    I’ve often seen other ships in peril, surrounded by a kraken for example. I enjoy meeting new people and like lending a hand, especially when the people who are being attacked are in a non-customised beginner sloop. But they always attack me, like I want to take their treasure or something.

    I wish there were more voice commands for the speaking trumpet. Such as:

    NEED HELP?
    TO THE RESCUE!
    HANG IN THERE!

    I’ve also been in danger myself, and I always feel so helpless when other ships sail by. I usually shout CAN YOU HEAR ME and OVER HERE but get ignored. Maybe add some voice commands like:

    PLEASE HELP!
    I NEED AID!

    Could encourage some friendly encounters, which judging by the forum is needed haha.

    More options would be nice. We've sailed past ships asking ourselves I wonder if they need help but any attempt usually gets us fired on so we just passively sail on past. I've had people board my solo sloop in the middle of a kraken battle and say they are there to help only to blow a gpb, so I get it. Some of us like to help sometimes though.

    its a nice idea but i dont think it necessarily adds much. we got the voice trumpets. ppl can use the 'need help' or 'help' as a trap too so its really more of the same in my opinion. i do like the idea of fostering more stranger help tho haha.

    Good and well intentioned suggestion but most players react negatively to help because 99% of the "help" is more likely to be looking for loot or just be trying greif them. I was "helped" a few times while in the grasp of the kraken when I was a beginner player. On all but one occasion the other ship pounded my hull with cannon balls while a crew member boarded. I'm pretty sure the kraken was grateful for the aid. One crew did turn out to be genuinely helping. We split up the treasure after defeating it and later helped each other with a skeleton ship. (We were however unsuccessful).

    I do agree that helping other players is allot of fun though.

    @winter-fritz44 not true...even though something happens doesn't mean it happens all the time. I've lend a hand to many pirates who ask for help

    I agree. Adding anothe wheel page to it should be easy. Good things come in 3's anyway

    @Winter-Fritz44 I tend to agree. Of the existing canned expressions we have, in our experience "let's form an alliance!" or "we're friendly" are primarily used as a distraction, and really mean "let us get close before you realize we are attacking".

    But still, having more options would certainly not hurt.
