Even though we're disappointed with recent decisions, we remain hopeful

    I’m going to post a somewhat unusual message.
    For several seasons now, the community—or at least a huge part of it—has been angry.
    Angry about various things—which I won’t mention here—and I’m part of that group myself, but… BUT!

    I have hope, just a tiny bit of hope, that the developers are working on something huge for this game!
    Whether it’s with the arrival of Capt’n or even the Great Maritime Union, Pendragon, etc…
    Please, developers, please: don’t let us down!

    We’ve been waiting for the GMU for years, and for Capt’n for 5 years: do justice to your story!

    Yes, even though we’re disappointed by all these recent decisions, the vast majority of us players are attached to the lore of Sea of Thieves. At least on this point, I beg you—don’t let us down!

    Yeah, I'm not angry at them. I've been disappointed, frustrated, and bewildered... but I still see opportunities for them to right the ship.

    I still see a lot of talent but it's been mismanaged. I see their intent to gather feedback but it's been misinterpreted, for some reason.

    Hopefully, we get some more optimism after the Community Direct at the end of the month.

    When has the Community (At least a very small part) Hasn't be angry over something about a video games change? Hmm?

    Some weren't happy when:

    • Diving was introduced
    • SS was created
    • Hourglass was made (with curses locked behind)
    • New Smuggler items
    • Adventure stories
    • Weapon Changes
    • And new content really...
