The last 3 days I have run more than 10 Dark Relic Missions (also PL) and found ZERO Ritual Skulls?
Are they finished? Did Rare announce something that I missed? Or have I just been "extremely" unlucky?

Nope they’re still there. Whenever you dig something up, you’ve a chance of getting one of the five relics, a Devils Roar trinket, or a skull. Unfortunately, it’s all chance based.
Why Rare didn’t just add the skulls to the skeleton fights (a chance of a skull when killing a voyage captain) is beyond me...
Best thing to do; stick to Shores of Plenty. The skellys are easier and the area is more compact. You could do two of these in the space of time it takes to do one in TDR.
@kaloudz I agree. If you’re looking for Ritual skulls, the Shores of Plenty is the easiest way to do that. Otherwise, you have to deal with Old Faithful and Plunder Valley - Planties on Crescent Isle is the least time consuming of the bunch.
@entspeak Snap! Someone on here suggested it to me, and I’ve been doing it ever since. I enjoy the whole map, but if I can avoid digging on Faithful, I will lol!
@viperishemu2992 i had also problems with getting the last 5 ritual skulls for the stranger...than it started to disconnect everytime I reached the last chapter of the voyage, so I just did the first two and started a new one after that, never had dusconnects anymore...it took me about 6 or 7 voyages to get these 5...
@viperishemu2992 I logged on last night to finish up the final two ritual skulls that I needed. Was fully prepared for a long night of bad RNG. Ended up getting super lucky and getting two rituals skulls on the first voyage. One on chapter 2 and one on chapter 4. Glad to be done with this one lol.
Still 9 bloody skulls to deliver! and 1 dark relic still too... AND ALL THE gfshughso Time just appears the damn kraken eyer or the gfisfdgsdfgs head doll!!!! SO TIRED OF GETTING THOOOOOSE! FOR KRAAKEN'S FUURYY!!!! GIVE ME MY RITUAL SKULLS, Havnt seen them in 3 DAAYS!!

Yes, i have dug up ALL of them. Perhaps the Order of Souls will still sell you some? ;)
Seriously though... if possible get 3-4 friends, and that way if all of you buy one voyage each, you get four voyages for 5 doubloons. So its cheaper and faster with more people.
The Dark Relics is probably the worst Bilge Rat Adventure/Mercenary Voyage to date. The fact that the Ritual Skulls spawn completely random and the fact that you have to buy the voyages for doubloons makes them a loss in currency instead of a profit.
I had to complete about 20 voyages to get 15 ritual skulls in total, in which I lost 100 doubloons. Now, I do have more doubloons than I would spend, but still.@lt-swag-johnson agreed. I've never seen my crew have such bad feelings towards something in this game, and I'm right there with them. It's a warmed over OoS voyage with dig maps, so nothing uniquely fun enough to overcome the ridiculous rng of the skulls.
@viperishemu2992 Yes, still there. I dug one up last night and another this morning. But I will say this was the lowest yield of them I have gotten from a journey (only one), I was typically hauling in 2-3 each voyage before when I needed them. But I've never completed a voyage and come up empty on them that I can recall.

@kaloudz Or fighting. Sometimes you get the penultimate skull voyage there - Shadows. And for Ancient Isles it's Goldies on Plunder (a real pain).
@d3adst1ck Same problem here. Did a few last night and got nothing. Such an annoying design choice. Truly hope this isn’t a model that’s repeated moving forward.
@viperishemu2992 I feel ya! I've just three left to go but don't think I can be bothered to even try now. I'll have more fun and earn more doubloons from chasing and cashing in Reapers Chests now anyway.

I'm not particularly interested in the cosmetics, so... being that it's costing doobloons for the opportunity to unlock a cosmetic I have little interest in, and would require me to spend more doobloons than the reward for unlocking that commendation, I don't see a point for me to bother. It is nice that they've said they will be moving away from charging doobloons for these types of voyages.
@entspeak You do not need to complete the ritual skulls to unlock the cosmetics. I have the cosmetics and there is no way I am doing the skulls based on r n g.

Ah yes, more padding to get to a goal that's completely random. Reminds me of the early days when you could buy a Gold Hoarder Voyage for more gold than the chest you would dig up at the end.
Finally I found the last relic I was missing!!! FINAAALLLY! btw I managed to deliver the other 5 skulls to the mistery guy too!! But omg... thoose voyages with those random item appearance... Bff. It was really frustrating... I still have the commendation of delivering 10 ritual skulls to the Order of Sould but NOOO WAY!! With that low rating of getting skulls Im not gonna be paying 5 doublons to get 1 skull (IN CASE TO BE LUCKY) and waste 20 doublons to complete the commendation and get 10 for completing it, not worth my time, not worth my doublons(eventough I just need 5 skulls to complete it)!!
