Original pioneers left in the dark

@mrtimboy Theres a few names im shocked didn't get in from the old days. But maybe they will invite others again at some point. Ya just don't know with Rare.

Pioneers didnt get anything exclusive.

@capnroguebeard I did clarify in my post we don't know what is going on so yes that could be the case but it is looking like no more will be let back in. And also that is the founder sails and title, of which there 100k people.
Founders are people who took part in at least 1 alpha. Pioneers were a lot smaller than that, we didn't get any recognition. When the program was announced those posts were everywhere they would just look past them. You seem quite aggressive and passionate for something you have no idea about, this post was for the people who were left behind by rare.

It's a real shame that they just outright started over and didn't even give us a status recognizing our support. Disappointing.

@capnroguebeard Well, that's the worst part. They won't tell us so we have to make assumptions. If they told us what was going on, even privately i wouldn't be so angered and if they do come out and explain what's happening i will apologise but at this current moment nothing has been said.

@lenny2k3 This game was intended to come out in 2016, if you had of seen it in 2016 you would not have spent your money on it. Why do you think it was delayed and notice how i said "Far less content" we all know there isn't enough but we helped get some put in.

I actually became a Pioneer today, I got the email earlier and I'm very excited about it, I read the whole thing and it clearly says that the pioneer status can be removed in any moment without warning you first.
I guess they want to receive feedback from different persons so maybe no one will be a pioneer forever, you shouldn't take it personally

@mrtimboy check your profile for the option to opt in email might be delayed im sure they will send more when 25% dont opt in by tomorrow

Pioneers can be cycled out and may not be called on in the future based on how often they participate, and give feedback. If some of the older pioneers aren’t in now, they may not be very active players currently, and/or may not have as much of a presence on the forums, and they knew that.

Sometimes new blood and fresh eyes are needed. You should get to keep your OG badge and such though even if you don't get into this wave.

@howlingfj0rd As of now there are around 650 current "Official" Pioneers when the program ended at launch, there was around 6000. The mjority of pioneers have not been let back in and i doubt even 3-4000 have stopped playing the game all together

@ant-heuser-kush Im fine with that, my main problem is it feels like we have as i said been given the middle finger. We were not acknowledged at all and were kicked to the curb.

@howlingfj0rd there are quite a few very active former pioneers that are baffled by not getting in.

@ant-heuser-kush I just hope this new batch of pioneers does what they are expected. I've clicked on numerous profiles of people listed as pioneers who have between 5 and 0 posts on the forums. If they keep to that type of absence from the forums there will be no feedback coming from them which is not helping the purpose of being in the program. Only time will tell.

You're right, but if they are not active in the forums, or have never even posted on the forums to begin with, that has to change. Otherwise what's the purpose of them being in the program other than to play content early? Yes, Rare will be able to gain playing data off them but that's not what they are all looking for.

Hmmm interestingly from what i can see none of the @Deckhands are in the pioneer group. Wonder if that has anything to do with the whole delayed theory. I would understand not wanting to send out 4000 or maybe more emails at once. It would be like what happened back in the alpha, except back then we were told what was happening and invites were sent out pretty quick.

Maybe there’s just a different criteria for what they are looking for in the program. I’m sure they have a rhyme or reason to what they’re doing, even if it means some people that played alpha don’t make it in. I guess just enjoy the game?

People have to realize that it's not just about posts on the website. For example, I never really post, I just end up reading. What I did instead as a pioneer was bug reports. My friends and I would report hundreds of bugs and never post on the forum. Sorry if its a requirement to be a chatty Kathy on the website but I was too busy reporting bugs.
