The Hungering one is fantastic!!! Thanks Rare!

  • I love it! But I wish that after the campaign ended, the hungering one became a random event and not summoned, so we would fear it even more!

Never know, that could happen as rare did stay the ai threats stay in the world if im not mistaken. Could be a random event later on.

  • Meg is too dangerous to just spawn on top of someone, like the kraken does, its better to keep it as a summon or something, requiring a band of drummers, but not really requiring the quest, due to how the drum will just be part of everyone's inventory eventually.

It might be dumbed down once this event is over to make it more Kraken -like.

Not really. It doesn't slow down the ship like the Kraken does and it doesn't go near islands so you could easily escape if it attacks. In that event it would be cool if it stuck around waiting for the ship to leave or other ships to come by.

I think your wish might well be granted...

Joe: We've tried to give you a small crafted adventure to go along with it, and that'll be our tactic for introducing new content into the game. With Hungering Deep, we're bringing in a new A.I. threat, we're bringing in a bunch of new tools including the shouting trumpet and the flags system. They're cool because they add to the richness of Sea of Thieves. Every time you play, there will be a chance of encountering the new A.I. threat and experience the new systems. The quest will highlight the stuff we're bringing into the game.

  • @guichiodi2 Yes! How about a 5 people drum summon anywhere on the map, like, a Galleon is bullying a sloop and then another good crew gets closer and they start to play the drums, the meg appears and boom, the bullies will get the loot they wanted, if they manage to get away of the meg or kill it.

  • @rk1-turbulence what I meant by dangerous was that Meg actually tries to destroy ships unlike the kraken that merely behaves like a roadblock, sure it slows you down and sometimes deals damage to you and your crewmates, but every 30 seconds meg is ramming your ship, opening 5-7 holes and if you don't get out of it's way you are toast.

  • I second this. A boss im actually impressed with? What madness is this!?

  • @urihamrayne When Hungering one apears we can give him animals as offerings, just like merrick said in the trailer! "So they can sail the seas undisturbed"

  • @katttruewalker Yess! This is great! Thanks!
