Unmarked island sunk my ship(Well, mostly)!

    So I entered the game, got my Merchants quest and set sail for Cannon Cove(Going West-Southwest).
    Everything is nice and calm and I am aimed directly at the island so I spend some time checking out my clothes, titles and what-not. That is when I hear my ship smash into something.
    I figured "Oh, I guess there was one of those giant rocks between my and Cannon Cove", but nope, it is an island I smashed right into, that is not marked on the map or have any notification when you arrive at it.
    I am South East of Hidden Spring Keep and I am just a giant question mark at this point.
    So I check out the island, which has a ship that is torn in half in the middle and I'm like "Is this new? Do I get to name this island if I am the first to find it" and that's when the bombartment begins, as a Galleon was going by and decided to sink my ship.
    No big deal, I am curious about this island though, I have to go back at some point =P
    Anyone know if this island holds some sort of secret?

    There's like a secret cave under the ship, but every time I've checked it the room has been empty. Was really hoping for something cool, a missed opportunity for a "guys guess what I just found!!" moment.

    @macdoland Ah, thanks, I am going to go back next time I am on.
    I didn't feel like I had time to check it out completely due to the bombartment.
    Hopefully there is some goodies down there =D

    Hopefully they flesh it out in future with some neat stuff, I stumbled upon it by accident, and was really thrilled to explore it.

    I've found a few islands like that including the split one with the sunken ship and caverns. I'm hoping there's some new content being built around it. The statue and the abandoned ship wheel. What do you think might connect them?

    I've explored this island and the surrounding ding waters and it seems like it might be a timed event isle in the future being unmarked and all that. Especially with the ancient ruins north of the island under the water.

    @noob-smoke95 Oh I'm not sure, perhaps they will be used as riddles for future public events! Look forward to what ever they decide.

    @danish-crusader This island was talked about during beta as having a possible connection to the legendary pirate hideout. Prodigy and his crew even went here first after attaining legend. Sadly, though, there seems to be absolutely nothing going on with this island right now. Considering its uniqueness and underwater cave system with altars and what not, I assume there will be something in the future.

    Same here, as much as it currently lacks content. From how long it seems to have been developed for I'm sure they have something prepared. Once they've worked out the kinks.

    I did map those uncharted isles some time ago, also put them some names to comunicate with the crew.

    @danish-crusader Pretty sure I know which island you're talking about. We hit the reefs around it in a sloop the other day, so I can't imagine how much it would mess up a galleon.

    @radjinwolf Yeah the one i call "Lost Atoll" has some reefs on the west side, a couple of them you can stand on foot on them at water level, so its a boat no-no area :D
