Addressing the File Size

    Recently, Helldivers 2 compressed their PC port's file size by 75 gigs. While this amazing reduction is unrealistic to ask for in Sea of Thieves, the game's file size is admittedly getting a bit large.

    Is it possible to see a reduction in the file size of the game?

    With helldiver, that was there own fault. They made dups of files to help Pc players speed up loading and such, which didnt even work anyways. So they just removed them.

    Doubt SoT does this.

    What im still wondering about is, why sot on Xbox series S is only 38,7 GB.
    Sure it makes sense since it has lower graphics then the series X and most gaming PC's, but the difference in filesize seems a bit exessive.
    Im no expert on the matter though.

    @dermasterbob My guess is lower quality textures

    Textures are the majority of the filesize in games, on pc you download the mythical textures whether you plan on using them or not
