Hello, im an old player and im looking for someone that will help me fix Sea of Thieves.
About a month ago i started to expierience major fps drops and bigger cpu usage
Earlier i could play SOT with 70-80fps on lowest settings with some apps working in the background
Now i barelly get 50fps with nothing working on exept SOT
I tried to fix it myself, here's what i did:
-Updated my CPU and GPU drivers
-Turned off xbox game bar and also recording gameplay
-Turned off firewall for Sea of Thieves
-Checked files integrity
Nothing worked, if someone know's the answer i would be very gratefull.
My Specs:
GEFORCE GTX 1650ti
Intel-Core i5-10300h 2.50Ghz
16gb ram
Windows 10
As you can see everything is above recommended, for example i get more fps in shooters that came out in 2023

@kroxi5252 I don’t know much about processors tbf but the i5 sounds pretty old. Could be due an upgrade? Otherwise, have you raised a ticket with Support?
Even high end builds have stutter, that includes Xbox Series X that is a closed system and should be easier to optimise for.
Look around Youtube for tips on how to set your settings, there is nothing else we can do.
I have performance issues myself on:
- R7 5800X3D
- RX 6950 XT
- 32GB RAM 3600Mhz
- SSD 1TB
- 1Gbps fiber connection
So is clearly a game problem, lots of people been having this issue since the Seasons update, you can check older topics reporting the same issue with builds close to mine.
