Chest of everlasting sorrow disappeared in hands

    Ok, I got the chest of everlasting sorrow in my hands, and was about to go into the flooded hallway right before the king’s chamber and the cheat disappeared straight out of my hands.

    I looked back it wasn't anywhere is sight.

    Left the server, went to a new one, went to my ship to finish the “Final Chapter” and I couldn't access the chest again.

    So to restart the mission one more time to get 100% completion.

    If anyone from Rare is reading this, this is my 5th attempt at getting the chest through the door.

    The last time I had the chest right in front of the door and NOTHING happened. I couldn't open it, couldn't access the room, etc.

    I want to love this expansion, but if anyone gets 100% completion on the 2nd Tall Tail expansion, pre-patch, they deserve an accommodation.

    UPDATE

    I was able to finish it. After jumping four more servers and restarting the Tall Tale once more.

    Somehow I think there is a reason only .30% of people have completed this. 100%

    @imperatormorsus It may have belonged to another crew doing the tall tale at the same time.

    Aye this has happened to me 3 times.
    I'm going to wait for a fix.

    As for:

    This certainly couldn't be the case for me at least first time round, as after the "hotfix" update on Saturday. I was the first one there doing the TT after the restart.

    As for the other times... pretty certain I was the only one attempting this TT also.

    Happy enough to wait until a confirmed fix is sorted.

    I've had MULTIPLE different glitches with this chest. First I waited too long before climbing the mast with it, and I got black screen teleported through the next barrier but without the chest. Next run it glitched through the ship while I was raising it, so it was inaccessible. It somehow teleported to the barrier before the boss fight, but then wouldn't open the door.

    I've this tall tale complete except this and know it fairly well, so I'll just re run it again and try to get it to work, but it can be a breeze of a tall tale or a headache depending on whether another crew bugs your progress. I'm starting to understand how rare tried to make this work so multiple crews can be attempting to complete it, but it breaks more often than not to work as intended.

    This is driving me crazy!!! How many times do I have to redo this to have the ability to take the f##&@#$ chest to that damned room?!?
    Geezzz it's an exercise of extreme patience...

    I just won't progress to the forward Tall Tales until I can finish this one 100%!!!!

    Yes, this happened to me last night. Chest disappears as soon as you pass through the barrier at the top of the Kraken room. No other crews around (I could see my ship floating by itself up top) and no one had started the tale before me.

    I thought maybe I was doing something wrong but it appears you are supposed to go through the barrier with the chest so I don't know what's happening.

    Guys I tried it so many times, Sunken Pearl has so many bugs I'm on my 9º try... Now i'm stuck with Chest disappearing too as soon I go throught the bubble door. Going one last time closing the 10º attempt!

    If unsuccessful I gonna wait at least two more bug fixes before trying again! xD

    @imperatormorsus Which checkpoint is the one to use to retry it? right after you defeat the kraken? will it respawn you on the ship with the chest accessible in the cabin?

    Lol all those chests are at the bottom of the map.

    @jadescissors32 what do you mean by "the bottom of the map"? And, as long as I know, there's just one chest we've been referring to.

    I was fighting people in TT2, and as I was bunny hoping around I landed through the rocks to the bottom of the map (best description I can think off) multiple chests were there.

    No Luck here guys... I've tried and tried and now i surrender... Going to wait atleast two updates before trying to do the PotC Tall Tales again... Insanity is doing the same thing , over and over again, but expecting different results. xD

    I have had chest disappear after dying... came back no chest and door is locked, no key to grab either to reopen door . Went back to use the retry/continue , it placed me back on ship, door locked and no key in the red area... I'm playing solo and think best to finish and come back after done with other tales. Was fun tho.
