Selling Account

    Recently I haven't been very active on SOT. I have partly lost interest in the game, but have a well leveled up account. I was wondering if I would be able to sell my account somewhere. I couldn't find anything in the terms, but I'm scared I didn't look hard enough. My account is almost maxed on every company, I have completed a lot of the bilge rat and other commendations, and I own the original bone crusher sniper and captain bones original cutlass, which is why I feel that it has some worth. I would love to sell it to someone who is really into the game who would love the original cosmetics, but I would never want to cross the boundaries of game and company terms.

    There no point selling your account you may get back into the game some point and I doubt you make any decent money for those item and the companies level unless someone really lazy and desperate for that.

    I think selling account is an slightly scummy thing to do and waste of time you made on it, in my opinion

    @c0wb0ysfan22 you would have to sell your entire xbox account. I doubt that is allowed.

    You definitely can't sell the account. Pretty sure it goes against ToS. Id at least advertise somewhere else if you are smh

    I am pretty sure that it is a violation the terms of service to sell your Xbox account, as you would have to sell that in order to sell the Sea of Thieves progress. The "sale" of the account would include any games or content you may have purchased/gotten for free on the account as well - you'd lose access to them. I'm also fairly confident you wouldn't get much for it either, especially if that was the only game tied to the account.

    As per the Xbox code of conduct, selling your account is considered fraud and is not allowed:

    See the section under "Fraud benefits no one" where it states:

    "For example, don't:
    Sell or attempt to sell your gamertag or account to someone else"

    As many above have said - Selling or trading your account is strictly against the Xbox Live Terms of Service.
