The Beginning:
In the first LSS Match, i was launched into space loosing instantly, a bug that has been in Hourglass since release and sadly made it into LSS (will report soon).
Aside from that happening in 1 out of 5 matches i played, every other start went down smoothly.
The Match:
The biggest Enemy in this mode is the zone.
I find it pretty annoying that for 80% of a LSS match, you have to watch out for the zone, while fighting up to 5 ships.
It even gets to the point, where if you dont end the match quick enough, the zone gets so small that only one ship can survive it, forcing an end to the match.
That is an unsatifying end (essentially a dice roll) and with for example 3 ships left at that point, thats pretty much unavoidable.
If we could at least take out the last zone, so the match has to end in a fight and not in a who is closer to the middle, that would be a huge improvement.
And if we could then make it so the zone is not instant death, but instead just deals continuous damage, like the red sea, that would be even better, because then the enemy doenst have to just down your mast and be closer to the middle, so he also has to keep pressure on you, before you sink.
The End:
After every ship sank and the match ends, there are multiple issues.
Not all the flags are "won in battle", in my second match, i won with 2 athena and 1 reaper flag, the athena flags were not won in battle the reaper flag was and therefore i lost out on a bit of allegiance, which doesnt matter that much to me, but if that happens to a new player, i would imagine they would be very frustrated.

The last zone forces you to be directly in the middle of the map, so at the exact spot where the exit portal spawns, that makes it so when youre in the middle and win, you have to set sails imediatly or youll loose all the supplies and flags, that you havent harpooned yet.
Also the time before youre forced out of the sea of the damned is very short.
In this mode rules chaos, so theres no guarantee that your enemies take the flags/supplies of those they sank and the timer afterwards doesnt allow you to loot more then one ship.
For that reason i think the timer should at least be doubled, if not more so you can loot all the ships.
Overall i must say i dont like the mode.
Its lacking rewards, is riddled with bugs and its not fully thought through.
Improvements that would make me want to play this mode:
- Meaningfull Rewards (better/more cosmetics, more allegiance)
- get rid of the bugs (obvious)
- make changes to the zone
- make changes to the end of match/win tunnel timer
I hope youll consider these changes.
