Happened to me twice after winning 2 matches where my opponent had grade 5 reapers flag, never happened on any other lower level victory except these 2 different matches and it's infuriating because its hard enought to win matches let alone ones where they have that flag which gives a ton of xp and gold when you turn it in.
They should migrate your defeated opponents loot along with you!
