Recently I have noticed that I´m having trouble buying costumes using IRL ($/€) currency through Steam.
When I go to verify my purchase on Steam, it would usually open a verification window to accept the purchase using the Steam client, yet it would not do so with costumes.
Instead it would get stuck on "counting your coins" and I would have to force close the game.
Restarting the game, Steam and even my PC did not fix it.
I had to resort to buying Ancient Coins and using those to buy the costume instead.
It seemes to only affect costumes as well, as I´m able to buy items, in-game coins and pets without any issues.
This is a bug I´ve encountered a couple of times and have no fix for.
