Game fails to launch on xbox series s

I just downloaded the game today and played for about an hour before game froze and crashed. I tried to relaunch the app and it just kicks me back to xbox dashboard. Have tried console resets, uninstall/reinstall, even went as far as to do a full factory reset of the console and redownloaded sea of thieves and the game still won't launch. Any ideas?
