it's been awhile since the last charity event and i had an idea for a charity many have probably not heard about
What is the Confetti Foundation?
This charity is designed to give birthday parties to children that are hospitalized for whatever the reason, the party itself is to give the child and the parents 30 minutes to ignore the conditions around them and celebrate the child (full decor and even people dressed character costumes included!). the foundation partners with children’s hospitals, pediatric oncology clinics and pediatric hospice facilities across the US
Where did the foundation come from?
the story is long, so to sum it up:
The Event Designer behind the charity had a godchild born 8 weeks premature, for this reason, the child was kept in the NICU for well past his 1st birthday, so the event designer wondered whether or not birthdays of these kids were celebrated, turns out the hospital gave a gift but that was all, having spent her own 13th birthday in the hospital years prior the event designer was inspired to make a positive change, and thus in 2014 the confetti foundation was born
What is the justification behind this?
as mentioned above the foundation gives themed birthday parties to kids in hospital care but in addition to this the return rate is incredible, 1000 USD ($1000) supplies two facilities for two months, multiply this by the amount given from past sea of thieves charity events, that's hundreds of thousands of sad hospitalized kids and their families getting a fully decorated 30 minute birthday party for years to come
