I was wondering if I'm missing something. I plugged in a keyboard to my Xbox and tried typing in-game. I'm under the impression other pirate crews don't seem to see what I type?
If I use the ready-made "Ahoy" and other things they seem to respond.

No, just adventure mode. Is there a distance that the text chat stops working?
@koopatrooopa503 There is... It works the same way proximity voice chat works. So it doesn't go too far!
