Gather around, dearest Pirates and Sailors! Gather around and raise your mugs to the tale of Captain Fuzzbutt, the sole captain that has slain the infamous Megalodon using nothing more than his cutlass. This daring pirate is one of the only known to have accomplished such a feat! But how did he do it, you may ask? Braving the seas' waves with nothing more than a spit of steel against a beast the size of a Galleon is suicide, but to pin a beast against the rear end of your boat would make the task significantly easier...
It was after a grueling voyage of raiding 5 consecutive gold hoarder vaults from Krakens Fall, under the name of the Reapers, did this occurrence happen. With a weary eye on the horizon for hungry plunderers, little did Captain Fuzzbutt, nor his first mate RobTheRobot know that such hunger would rise from the depths of the water in the form of an air-shattering roar! It's red fins shined as deep as the reapers flag that hung from our mast, and it's glowing orange eyes were prying the treasure we had left on our rowboat for ease of delivery to the Reapers Bones. We tried to outrun it, to swing past rocks and spires to shake it, but on it persisted! Before our heroes had a chance to get away, the great shark was peering on the aft of their boat, it's mouth open wide, ready to undo the many hours of hard work the two pirates had achieved...
Dramatic pause for effect... Refill your grog, ladies and gentlemen, this is where the real story begins...
Leaping to his feet, Captain Fuzzbutt knew there was little time before they would be dragged to the Ferry of the Damned. "Take the wheel, Rob!" He demanded, as he grabbed the harpoon from the rowboat. As the beast bore it's teeth down upon the rowboat, Captain Fuzzbutt stabbed the harpoon into its mouth, keeping its many layers of sharp teeth from puncturing the wood or the ropes that held the ship in place. Drawing his trusted Cutlass, Captain Fuzzbutt jabbed it into the mouth of the beast in several locations. It roared in pain, the force of which pushed the captain out from its mouth. The Megalodon tried to back away, but this had just gotten personal. Captain Fuzzbutt, now covered in saliva and mucus, snagged the harpoon and locked it in place. The beast wasn't going anywhere. Drawing his blade once more, Fuzzbutt leapt from the boat and on to the head of the monster, slashing and stabbing away, each new wound being a victory in the heart of the courageous captain! And, with one final blow, the creature arched it's back and bellowed. The Harpoon retracts, freeing the vessel, and Captain Fuzzbutt stands triumphant over it's body as it sinks deep into the sea. With the aid of the Merfolk, Captain Fuzzbutt returns to his ship, bathed in the blood of his enemy. He had done it, he had slain the Megalodon with only a cutlass! Who else has completed such a task? He would hold the bragging title of Fuzzbutt the Megalodon Slasher, and sail on to tell his tale!
Where is this mysterious captain now? Why, he still tirelessly travels upon the Sea of Thieves, accompanied by his friends, and guided by the spirit of adventure! His stories are told to those who wish to seek them, and the legend is that his tale of killing the Megalodon with a cutlass is so legendary, that by reading it's tale, you can just see the triumphant cry of the captain!
