black dog because, and im sorry for criticizing, ferryman does not have as much details or features. maybe i would change my mind if the coat were longer, had buttons, and just looked more like a duster coat in general.

In RL I wear all black, but I don't plan for my character to do so (I know, from experience, that is tough out in the sun on the open seas, lol).
I actually prefer the style of the Ferryman coat. I love the shoulder cape aspect of it.
I'll definitely wear the Black Dog belt, to begin with... and the pants and boots. I'll probably wear the hat, but that'll probably be the first clothing item I upgrade. I need something taller... and with one or more feathers, me thinks... :D
With all of the clothing options that I HOPE will be available in-game, I don't plan on sticking to this stuff. I like them, but I'm suspecting there'll be more items I will prefer.

Ferryman Jacket gets my top vote, the hats are tied as equal (for different reasons), but Black Dog wins for every other item... So, I'm giving Black Dog the win, I suppose. :P

Totally agree... There's bits that I like from both, but I doubt ~I'll ever wear all of it longer than to see how my pirate looks in the whole get-up...
I like the Black Dog gloves & boots personally, & the cutlass. Will probably use them the most...
@kruked-halo There WILL be microtransactions, but they will not be pay to win. For now, the only confirmed microtransaction is PETS! Pets that add nothing the game other than a cool cosmetic you can bring around with you.
Sea of Thieves seems like the perfect game to fit into the dreaded loot crate model, but Rare has other plans.
I personally dislike the admiral set as it's just not very piraty in the way we have all become accustomed to whilst growing up from books and movies.
Pirates were Democrats. They had their own pirate ranks Everybody had same rights, and their roles and duties were appointed, only according to their abilities and knowledge. Im sure there were some Pirate Admirals but it's not like there were huge fleets of Pirates most were small. (Blackbeard only commanded Four ships)
Do we really need Thousands of Admirals sailing around in sea of thieves?
Think I will mix and match a selection of the outfits to look a little different. There's nothing worse than everyone in a game looking the same.

Cant beleive idiots are trying to sell the ferryman outfit for over 140$.. you can still buy the controller that comes WITH The outfit for 100-120...
The c****y part about the black dog one is you cant complete the set unless you buy the sea of thieves hard drive and happened to catch the mixer stream where they gave the pistol away
